I bought this to replace an older feeder that sometimes jammed. This feeder is much better. I really like using the app and being able to program 6 settings. What I really like is being able to release a single feed, a very small portion, without having to touch the food.I am very satisfied with this purchase!

I love that each portion is approximately 1tablespoon and that I can adjust how many portions and how long between. In fact it even worked to add an extra portion when I was 3 miles away! Unfortunately, you do need to keep an eye on it if you only do one portion at a time. It has “skipped†or stalled at least three times in the last 2 months. To fix this I lift the feeder and turn it upside down and put it back down, then I put 5 portions down. while it gives way too much food it seems to “fix†the issue. So make sure you monitor your furbabies and the dispenser to ensure they’re getting their food but it’s still relatively easy and it’s a decent price. It’s also easy to clean. It hold a decent amount of food and has a desiccant holder to keep the food fresh.

bought this as a basic feeder while we were away - my cat gorges himself and then throws up, so he can only be fed a table spoon of food at a time. That is exactly what this feeder offers as a portion, and you can set up many small feedings. Worked fine. I use it a lot less frequently when we are home, although it does delay the wake-up call in the morning. My cat responds enthusiastically to the little ding noise.

We set this up according to the instructions and it worked for one day and then we started to have problems with it not feeding on the days and times set up at all. So we reset and reprogrammed it and got it going so we thought. We had to go 12hrs away for our daughter college graduation and when I checked the cat feeder on my outdoor cameras it never dispensed the food at its programmed feeding time. So here we are 12 hrs away from home, not able to get a hold of anyone and our cat isn’t able to eat!!! This product does not work as described and we cannot enjoy being out of town for our daughter college graduation and still cannot find anyone to go to feed our cat. We thought this would be a fantastic help but it’s turned out to be a huge stress and nightmare on what should be a happy occasion! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AS IT DOESNT DO WHSG THEH SAY IT DOES!!

Keeps my glutton kitty in check. You can adjust feeding times and amount of food dispensed all through your phone on their app. A must buy if you have over eating animals.

UPDATE: today my cat was really bugging me all day and I couldn’t figure out why. At her evening feeding time I was near the feeder and nothing happened. I checked the app and it said that the feeding had occurred, but it had not. I then pressed the button in the app to manually feed, and it displayed a message saying it was feeding, but again nothing happened. I opened it and rummaged around in the “spout†where the food gets ready to be dispensed, and then it started working normally. This is really problematic - every other feeder I’ve tried will alert you if there is a jam and feeding isn’t happening. I have no idea how many feedings she missed, and now I’m not confident this will actually feed as programmed. And apparently there’s no way to discover whether there’s a problem unless you sit and watch whether it’s dispensing, which defeats the purpose. It’s really frustrating - up until now this was the best feeder I’d tried, but after only a few months, it seems unreliable.Original review:I’ve had 3 different automatic feeders for my very food motivated cat, and this has been the best one and the cheapest! The Wi-Fi and app control is a great feature that makes change the schedule really easy. My cat also needs to go on a diet because the last feeder’s internal mechanisms broke down/stretched to create larger portions than intended. This one feeds about 1Tbsp at a time, so I can set it up to feed her tiny portions throughout the day so she’s not hungry and (mostly) doesn’t bother us for food. I’ve had it about a month and so far, zero complaints! (Also appreciate that it comes in black…)
