Great to have outside for when the dogs are playing in the yard. We have two dogs that spend a lot of time outside. This water bowl gives me peace of mind that they will always have water available, especially on the warmer days. I wish I had gotten this sooner!

I recently adopted a dog from the shelter and during the summer it was a chore to make sure she had plenty of fresh water. We had unusually hot weather and at 80lbs she drank a lot of water. I have had dogs in the past splash all the water out of their bowls or knock them over and then they have no water. To avoid this in the past I got automatic watering bowls. Unfortunately over the years the floats stopped working. When I saw this water dispenser available as a free promotional item I ordered it. I am familiar with this type of pet bowl, it has a float like a toilet that turns on the water when the level of the water lowers and once the bowl is full the float turns off the water. You can mount it anywhere using a garden hose, just make sure you have a good hose that can hold up to the water pressure of having it on all the time. I use a splitter so I can use more than one item on the hose as I also need one for watering plants and one for a mister in the summer. I have not installed it yet as I haven't decided where to put it. I need to make sure it's low enough for my sister's smaller dog and also out of the way. Most likely I'll mount it below the faucet so there isn't a hose to trip over. Either way, it's a good thing to have if you have a dog that likes to play with it's water and knock it over to make sure it does not go thirsty while you're not home. This one looks very well made, sturdy and with stainless steel it will hold up a long time. It comes with adapters for 1/2" and 3/4" faucets. It comes with an extra float. It has a 2 year warranty which is nice. It has a flat back so you can mount it on a wall or post. I like that it has a metal flap to access and adjust the float. My old bowl had a plastic cover that was screwed down and the screws rusted, I could not get it apart to repair it. If you live where the water has minerals I would recommend you soak it in vinegar occasionally to avoid buildup. Also, while the bowl is steel, it's possible other parts are subject to rust so make sure you keep it clean and clear any rust if it develops. This will make it last even longer. I will update with photos once I get it installed.

I am very impressed with this automatic waterer! I have 3 other waterers and this one is by far the best quality. It is very sturdy and considerably thicker and heavier than my other waterers. The hose doesn’t leak anywhere, and the quick-connect makes it very easy to remove the waterer if needed. There are 2 overflow holes at the back in case it doesn’t turn off for some reason, although I’ve not had that issue. The drain at the bottom is handy too as long as you don’t lose either piece. I used this for my ducks and geese (until freezing weather came) who put it through a lot of abuse, and it still looks brand new and is functioning perfectly. I highly recommend it!
