Installed a year ago and it works fine on Ford F350 with a large Cabover Camper. Not too loud, but loud enough to let peeps know to get out of the way...lol. I put a switch in the truck to disable if I'm backing in to a campground spot at night.

Within 3 months the epoxy fell out of the case and the whole thing stopped working. For the backup alarm to be heard from the rear of the truck, it has to be mounted outside and behind the rear bumper. Seems, it isn't outdoor proof because it fell apart..

It didn’t come with instructions but I saw a guy on YouTube installing a similar one on a truck in India! Too funny! No English! He just spliced a line off the rear backup lights positive line and put the other terminal to ground. The unit uses minimal power so it won’t affect the brightness of your light bulbs. I am very happy!

I have purchased several of these name brand backup beepers in the past and all worked well and still work after many years. Recently, I purchased the same type but the new one is a 12/48 volt.I connected these to the backup light bulb wire and tried to do the same with this on. Wrong!! The beeper works on the 12 volt test battery but will not work when connected to the build wire on the new Jeep. Thinking it might be a bad wire, I tried a different wire cable and once again, this beeper only made a sound once every time is tried it. Thinking Jeep may have changes a less amp wire harness, I finally gave up and purchased a different type beeper from Amazon that cost less but it was only for 12 volt. The new beeper can the next day and I connect jumper wires and connect this to the bulb wire and the darn thing works great.. On the bad side, the positive screw and nut are a bit loose so I need to use caution the positive wire to it connecting it Yes! I did hold the rear nut with a small wrench to keep it from turning the screw in the case. Both were great products in the past but the one will not work on the Jeep wiring.
