Here in Massachusetts our go-to bagel Fanagel-a-Bagel. The only problem is they are uncut. And trying to slice one of these bagels either produced, bagel chips, or a huge bagel half. Not to mention close calls between my finger tips and a knife. I purchased this bagel cutter and could not be more pleased!! The blade and housing are sturdy and the bagels are cut evenly every time. No more bagel chips for me !!

This item worked fine for me. I know some users end up with crushed bagels and I believe it has to do with the hardness of the bagels. My bagels are rather firm and it slices them perfectly. I can see how soft bagels could be crushed.For those situations, I would encourage you to get a bagel holder that holds it vertical and allows you to use a very sharp kitchen knife that would saw, not push its way through.

Easy to use and slim design makes for easy storage - only drawback is that it can be a little difficult to get in all the nooks and crannies to clean.

It just smashes my bagel unless the bagel is mostly frozen. I keep mine frozen because i don’t eat them very often but I think I will end up breaking this sooner than later

Not as sturdy as a prior brand used however more than adequate.
