This transfer peel is useful if you bake a lot of baguettes, is a nice size for smaller loaves and the quality is decent. I did feel that the wood was dry when it first arrived so I treated it with food safe mineral oil and cutting board wax before using. So far I've only cleaned it by brushing off flour or wiping with a towel

Extremely rough edge with slivers of wood. Unsuitable for kitchen use when baking baguettes. One edge is deeply gouged

This peel is everything I hoped. It is wide enough for thick doughs. It has a fine finish which does not stick to much. It is a great size for me and is very light. The overall dimensions are 14 7/8" long and 4 5/8" wide. The scaling shows 0 to 38 CM on the bottom and 0 to 15" on the top. Yes, the scale if off by about 1/2" but I don;t use it. It's very nice for the price, I recommend.

Nice beveled edge and ruler. Flips the baguette easily. Don’t get it wet and it won’t loose its shape.
