BARFI Pet Brush - Self-Cleaning Pet, Cat, Dog Shedding Brush - Multi-Functional Grooming Tool with Negative Ion Technology, Vibrating Massager, Wood's Lamp (Gray) - Free Pet Bowl. This brush has a lot going for it. There aren’t any batteries, it’s completely rechargeable. When it gets loaded up with hair you push down on the button and the hair is separated from the brush to easily throw away. It has a laser pointer for playtime chasing and a UVA light to look for fungal infections on the skin. I tried both lights though and the UVA didn’t pick up anything and the Laser light is probably a cat thing, my dog wasn’t interested in it. My little Cairn terrier Elly is 14 years old and she hates to be brushed. When I used this brush on her fur it kept snagging her and I had to be very careful how I used this. I was surprised to learn she really enjoyed the vibration when I turned it on. I thought it would frighten her but not at all. She is old and I think this is very soothing for her old achy body. Because she likes the feel of the vibration, now she lets me brush her longer than usual, even though the brush tugs her skin sometimes when I’m not careful. I am using this a little every day while we both get used to it and I’m happy with it so far!

The brush itself is nice with firm wire bristles and it picks up plenty of fur. The retractable button pushes out the fur for easy cleaning. One kitty seems to enjoy the massage vibrations but the noise and vibration scares the other one. There is a flash light to check for ringworm and laser option pointer on the brush which is kind of unneccesary The laser is nice but a bit awkward to use and it definitely doesn’t work to have the laser on while brushing. The cats just want to chase the laser and can’t be bothered with the brushing. For $25 at time of order I'm not finding the value in all the bells & whistles.

I got this to keep my dog nappy free. My dog got to use this about three times, before the kids used it on one of the cats with the vibration mode. Now anytime anyone picks up the brush all three cats line up and wait to be brushed. It’s ridiculous how much the cats love being brushed by this. The end does have a laser red light, mostly the kids have been using that to entertain the cats. The brush has a button that once pressed slides up and releases the hair. This is a well made and durable brush. This easy to use, it works great with or without the vibration mode. This brush does remove a lot of their hair.

My cat is NOT a fan of this brush with all the unnecessary functions. He's not too bad with just the brush part but if I try to use the vibration or even the light to play, he runs from it. It not horrible but it's not for all cats.

The only way that I was able to use this is without the vibration. It has a thick plastic handle That Brooklyn makes it easy to hold. The bristles are strong enough to get tangled hair loose but also soft and not to not hurt My dog. This works really well when the burner is wet. Very easy to clean by just pressing the button and a giant clump of hair comes loose. When I use the other features tends to scare my dog. So I just keep this tool and use it only for the brush.

Sporting an unintentionally hilarious brand name, the BARFI pet brush means serious business. So much is going on here that I'd terrify my cats if I let loose with all of them in one sitting. As a result, we're taking it slow and I'm acclimating them to the brush and play functions only, both of which work just fine. They may eventually tolerate the audible hum of the massager, but they tend to be hypersensitive to unfamiliar noises so we don't go there just yet.Although I tested the functionality, I'm not using the Wood's lamp unless I suspect a strong reason to need it, as repeat exposure isn't without risk for both pet's and owner's eyes. If your pet is struggling with skin conditions (and you know how to use it) it might be a useful add-on to your care regimen.Overall, it's maybe more brush than i need, but the build quaility is good and it's designed well enough that the extras don't get in the way of grooming my cats, so i'm happy.
