This assortment of basswood is ideal for smaller wood carving activities. The 1†by 1†blocks are perfect for carving wood spirits, which make great gifts. There is a more limited number of the other two sizes and it would be nice if the set included more of the 2†by 2†by 4†blocks. Nonetheless, what you receive in this set is a very good value.Basswood can vary in quality, but the basswood in this set were surprisingly good quality. Every block was extremely clean grained, and so far the carving quality is very good.The dimensions of the blocks are very exact and true, which is very appreciated for more exacting types of carving projects.This is one of the better quality choices I have found for basswood and would definitely order again

I didn’t order these for whittling, per se, but ordered them for product display at craft booths. It’s nice to have various levels of wood to use to show items at different levels forInterest. This is a great pack with varying sizes that are cut evenly and smooth for regular easy use. The price is reasonable for the product you receive, and the shape is even. All positives, no negatives with this pack, no matter how you use it!

These are priced a bit cheaper than others I've ordered but they aren't as smooth. Unsure how much that ultimately matters because if I carve them down nothing will be smooth. There are 20 smaller rectangle pieces and I wish they included less of those and more of the bigger ones. They come stacked in a cardboard box so they can be contained much better than others I've received that came in a non-resealable plastic bag. I haven't yet started carving with these so I can't yet speak to how easy they'll be to work with but, being I'm a newbie to carving, I'm sure I won't be able to blame the blocks for any of my issues lol.

I recently got into whittling and this was a great sized set for me to get more wood. It came perfectly organized and squeezed into a small box like a puzzle (a very easy puzzle, they're rectangle blocks). All of the pieces look like great quality and are shaped and sized exactly as described. So far, I am very happy with this set. The wood is soft and easy to carve. Great value for the money.

I got these blocks of wood next I am a DIY kind of persona and have had a whittling kit for a while now but ran out of wood to use. This set is perfect for crafting and they are so easy to carve. They are small enough to hold on to yet big enough to make some pretty cool things with. I have some to my husband too because he loves playing with stuff like this too.It’s a great value and I definitely will buy more!!
