I purchased one of these and came back and purchased another. I love that the lid opens with motion so you do not have to touch it. The motion is a little sensitive; however, that doesn't bother me too much. The batteries have lasted so far. I am very happy with my purchase. It is a wonderful concept and is eye appealing, as far as trash cans go. I would definetly recommend.

These trash cans work good. But they open on their own when nothing is touching them. It’s kind of spooky when nothing touches them to open and I am across the room from them.

Love an automatic household item.It makes your house fun.Battery required but lasts quite a while.Material is okay, but since it’s a small can, it doesn’t need much. Simple to have in the RR, for small trash, paper, etc.

I was really excited about this 2.2 Gallon Touchless Automatic Trash Can when I first got it. The sleek design, motion sensor, and compact size made it a perfect fit for my bathroom. At first, it worked exactly as expected—the lid opened smoothly when I waved my hand over it, and it helped keep things clean and hands-free.What I Liked:âœ”ï¸ Looks Sleek & Modern – The black design fits nicely in any room and doesn’t take up much space.âœ”ï¸ Touchless Operation (At First) – When it was new, the motion sensor was super convenient, opening the lid effortlessly.âœ”ï¸ Waterproof & Slim Design – Works well in a bathroom setting without taking up too much room.Where It Falls Short:âš ï¸ Sensor Malfunctions Over Time – After a while, the lid started opening on its own randomly and sometimes wouldn’t close properly, which became really annoying.âš ï¸ Battery Placement is Unsanitary – The battery compartment is exposed to the trash inside, making it gross and inconvenient to replace the batteries. I read the reviews and decided to order this for my bathroom regardless of seeing its very small. Well, it is small but it's perfect for my small bathroom. The sensor works. It uses two AA batteries. I like it. 4 stars because I think it could be a little bigger .

We purchased this garbage can for our main bathroom, because our dog seems to love chewing paper and tissues and always targets the bathroom garbage for her "fix". So far she hasn't figured out how to open it up automatically. Even if she does figure it out, then she would need to stick her head in the smaller than normal hole to get to the garbage. Initially I didn't think the 2 x AA batteries (not included) would fit into the battery area. It was a very tight fit and took a few tries to get them to stay in. Because of this, I feel that the product is a bit cheap and was mass produced. Would I recommend this? I don't know, time will tell if it deters our pup from chewing those nasty tissues left in an open garbage can.
