My cat gets hot spots a couple times a year, and usually by the time we notice he’s made them way worse and of course the only way for it to get better is to prevent him from licking and biting at the area. I always felt guilty for having him wear a cone for weeks at a time because it seems so uncomfortable, but i actually think he likes the donut, it’s like wearing a pillow. I often catch him curled up and purring quietly to himself, and it makes me feel better for making him wear something around his neck for long periods of time. Plus, it’s absolutely adorable!!! He’s a full grown Siamese, and the medium was perfect for him. However, he can still reach the base of his tail and his b-hole area so if this is the problem area for your cat you might want to consider something different, but his problem areas are on his back so it works for us. It’s held up well for a couple weeks so far and held up in the wash, no signs of wear yet. Overall I think this is a better alternative to cones, not to mention way cuter.

My cat had PU surgery, and came home with two collars from the clinic that were torture devices at best. He needed to be confined to a crate for two weeks, and I couldn’t see any way to do it with the monstrous collars he came with. I ordered this collar because I knew the donut collars worked well, and this one is stuffed, not blow up, no no worries about a popped collar.It was worth every penny, and worked like a charm. Nigel felt much more comfortable in it since it gave him free movement, and better view, so he settled into his new set up very easily. It was just wide enough so he couldn’t lock his genital area, which was the point. Because there are no edges on this collar, there is no risk of scraping on the sutures; it simply rolled off the area. My cat gave it a few good scratches in the beginning, trying to get the collar off, but the collar stayed, and it survived. It has a few surface scratches, but didn’t lose any filling. It was also super easy to wash off when it got dirty. Plus, it’s super easy to take off and put on. Can’t recommend this highly enough.

These donut collars were great for the kittens' spay/neuter surgery recovery. Got used to them quickly and didn't go ballistic as they did with plastic e-collars. Adjusted to fit easily, so they remained on. Laundered nicely. Only negative was the quality of the cord. Frayed on arrival. All things considered, I would purchase again.

I read other reviews that this worked well after PU surgery and I have to say it does the job perfectly. It allows for some grooming but blocks the areas that need protected. He appears comfortable in it and can eat and drink. There is a bit is scratching around the neck, but better than the e collar. Easy to pull on and off for breaks. Plus he looks adorable. I may have to put it on him from time to time even after his restrictions are clear just bc he’s so cute walking around like a donut. Happy others gave positive reviews bc it was helpful for us. ðŸ‘

This cone worked well for my sphynx cats neuter. He was able to comfortably wear it and it didn't irritate his skin

Nice design, comfortable. Would be great for most surgeries besides neuters. Unfortunately this still allows my cat to lick at his wounds from the neuter, but does great for anything slightly higher than their waist.

It worked great for when I had my kitten spayed. Really cute and I’m sure more comfortable than the regular plastic cone.

My kittens obviously did not like to have these on after surgery but they were soft like a pillow, functional, and comfortable so they could still eat and drink. They were able to move around with ease. I loved the collar and drawstring duo which helped adjust so my wiggle worms would not take off. They slept comfortably. Great value.

This allows my cat to groom most of his body and it doesn't block his vision or touch his whiskers - all pluses as far as cones go. He is, however, able to scratch at his head maybe 10% of the time. So it's not fool-proof, but far better than the junk the vet will sell you.
