The 4"x1"x1" pieces are very soft and easy to work with. However, all of the 4"x2"x2" pieces had knots which made them very hard to work with. I ended up having to discard them.

I really like this mix of wood. I mainly do 1x1 carving and there’s lots of that, but there’s also a few larger pieces. I like the longer 1x1 so you have something to hold onto. I usually carve a figure from both ends.
