Works as advertised on my pickup, stays in V8 mode full time. I can say that the truck is shifting out better and not lugging into overdrive so quickly when driving in the city. The gas mileage has dropped off a bit around town, a couple of MPG I’m not a heavy footed driver. Still well worth extending engine and possibly transmission life. I bought the truck new and have never been really happy with the drivability problems that these vehicles are known for. This plug and play unit makes a big difference in the way my truck performs and drives.

Came in the mail yesterday took it out plugged it in to my trucks obd2 port and turned the truck on and it started working instantl so installation is a breeze. I drove around all day yesterday and today the truck never went back to v4 mode it had a noticeable power increase wasn’t much but it was there and no issues with the truck shifting up or down. as far as the comments about gas mileage mine never changed but I don’t have a heavy foot either so that might play a big role in most folks comments about the fuel mileage. And it doesn’t drain the battery it stayed plugged in over night and no issues there. other than that the AFM Disabler worked great right out the box and didn’t hurt the wallet. Now I do believe in you get what you pay for so with that being said I do have plans on buying the 200$ range AFM disabler eventually but this works just fine for now till I can get the more expensive device.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to! Price is great and it helps extend the life of my engine. Throttle response is also better when the engine stays in v8.

Deactivates afm and dodBlue light on front is very bright though so if purchased might want to put a piece of electrical tape on it

This great device started working immediately after plugging it in to the OBD port on my 2016 Chevy Silverado, now it no longer changes to 4 cylinder mode and I think it actually makes the problematic 8 speed transmission shift better without bogging down when it's in a gear too high for 4 cylinders and 1-2 gear issue is almost completely gone (it has to be related to the AFM system) Very happy and a very good price compared to other "name brand" devices.

Works exactly as advertised! Car stays running when coming to a stop and haven't noticed any changes in my gas mileage. The 1st day, it seemed like the car wanted to shut off when stopped but it didn't. Not sure if the computer had to "learn" the new commands or what but the car runs flawlessly ever since. I am so glad to have found this product!

Works exactly as described. Easy install, works instantly. Been using it for a few weeks now with no problem. Engine doesn't hesitate like before. Wish I would have got this a long time ago.

Have it in truck for over a month and it stays in 8 cylinder. Truck works much better. Too bad gmc wouldn't admit their problem with the 5.3 motor.
