I bought this to hook a 21 inch VGA Dell monitor to my MacBook Pro (2013) to help expand the screen so that I can open up more windows to go between spreadsheets, databases and programs. It arrived quickly and in a nice easy to open pouch. The adapter itself is nicely made and was easy to plug in and get started right away. Standard VGA plugs right into the back, screws in and stays seated fully. The lightning port has a plastic cap to keep the connectors clean during transit. Once off, you can see a very nicely made gold lightning port plug that fits easily without becoming loose and falling out. Once plugged in, everything worked straight away and I was ready to go. I would recommend this item if you are looking for an inexpensive way to hook up a VGA device to a lightning port without fear that you will have to replace the adapter often. Easy to use, no instructions needed. Plug n play for the most part. Just don't forget that you will need to go in and change your settings on your lightning device. Definitely two thumbs up on this item! I will buy again in the future if I need another one, which I may for another monitor.

Works out of the box. No issues. Only have used it for a few days, but should hold up. Heavy duty wiring with shroud at plug should prevent spitting away from plug.

The only setup is under the display in the MAC OS and that took 2 minutes. The adapter worked as soon as it was plugged in.

However, I have since learned that most large Graphics Cards use the standard (larger) Display Port. Why? Because the larger Display port is more reliable.

Correct DP to vga converter.I did have to make sure that the vga cable is inserted good into the female side otherwise the colors arent comming through correctly but once configured it's working fine.
