This crushes cans to about an inch tall. Needs an air compressor, it is air driven. Any size compressor will work as long as it is 90psi or higher. The orange hoses just push into the blue plastic fittings very firmly, it has teeth inside that grabs the hose.I mounted it to a piece of plywood with the ejection slot hanging over the end, I just put a small trash can underneath.DO NOT LET SMALL CHILDREN OPERATE THIS!!!!!! This will crush a child's fingers! I cannot stress this enough. The nature of these can crushers being open to put a can into them will allow a smaller child to put their hand in it. The activation button does take a firm press but I don't let any little ones near it when using it. Once finished it is safe after you disconnect the air supply-the piston will not move.I am happy with this, I crushed four kitchen bags of cans and they don't even fill one of the old bags.Note: 12 oz soda cans and cans up to the 16oz Monster/Rockstar cans fit easy but the large Red Bull cans that are taller and skinny don't fit unless you squash the to shorten them before you put them into the unit.

Had to use my own sealing tape Good thing I had extra laying around As you can see in between the 2 cans, it came apartother than that it was good.

Crusher itself appears good and solid but time will tell, directions and hardware are definitely china, I purchased some hardware to make attaching my air hose even attachable, and I did have some additional hardware in the box that who knows what it was for.

I bought this to help create more spa e in my recycling but now I think I am going to save them and take to a recycling center for extra cash.Please note you need an air compressor.to use, I didn't see that but luckily we have one.The directions to put together are ok, not super easy to follow but you will get the idea.Happy with purchase.
