This is a pretty solidily built spreader. The crank is a little small, but it works well for tight spots. The crank is very smooth and works well. The spreaders slide on the guide rail really smoothly as well. It flattens out nicely and seems like it will be really good at spreading the piston. So far I'm pretty impressed.

This makes it easier to compress calipers when dong break jobs. The ability to use it with a 1/2 in ratchet is nice as well as a larger size socket if needed. The bar handle would be a little nicer if it was removable if you decided to use a ratchet to operate this. I will likely cut off an end of the bar to make it removable and add an o-ring to the bar to keep it on, when I want it to stay in place.
