The top layer is a blue, static dissipative rubber layer laminated to a black conductive rubber bottom layer. SO the map fit my desk almost perfectly. It was about an inch short of the length but the with was great. The mats texture is a little rough but you do not really want a super smooth math going on an electronics work bench. The color is a little darker than I thought it would be, but I have to say the color is perfect. It is easy to clean and does not seem to get mark on it that cannot be cleaned.Not sure how high Temp it can take but I have a separate soldering mat that I use. Great mat.

Great mat (2059S), great quality, lays flat, great shipping, no odor.People, the alligator clip is attached to the wire by a banana jack - pull to separate, then plug the banana into the mat connector.

I thought I had bought one of these already, but when I searched my orders in Amazon, it wasn't there, so I ordered this one. I later found out I bought one previously from a different vendor. Oh well, I can still use it, and it's really nice, too.

Nice mat does it’s job and has great length on the snap button to the ground. The dislike I have is the strap doesn’t connect or insert where the ground comes in I just had to gator clip onto the other button… also wish it came with a ground tester but there are other ways to do that.

I bought this pad to protect some Rpi and Arduino's, and shields I am prototyping. Seems well made, and they claim Made in America - so I paid a little more than the ones from China and am quite happy with that. It came as advertised and looks decent on my office desk. The wrist strap is decent quality, and the wire is reasonably heavy duty to withstand tugging on it. I would have preferred the end of the wire terminate in a wall plug (I added one, connecting only to GND) or banana plug rather than the ring connector, but that's a small nit.

Loving this thing, The anti-stat bracelet won't last forever and crocodile clips rather than pins is weird, but the pad is great.

I am an electronic hobbyist and I got it to cover my workbench. Seems Ok, in that I haven't zapped anything yet. We will see... It is a good size and seems to be of good quality. I would recommend it.

Base conductive layer and top dissipative layer within spec, well packaged to prevent creases and marks on surface, rolled correctly so that it lays flat quickly without curling corners. Quality mat.
