These work well for making bias tape. Just be sure you have a stiletto or something similar on hand to help the fabric through at the beginning. (The set does not come with anything like that) I found you have to be careful and go slow because the metal is so smooth that the fabric can go wonky. Slip and slide to the sides. Just go slow and it works fine. Quite durable, they are made well and a good value for the cost. I like that this set phase many sizes. Pretty self explanatory and easy to use, but if you need to, there’s probably a YouTube how to.

It will take a couple of tries before you get the rhythm down, but once you got it...what an AMAZING tool! Creating your own bias tape makes your projects look so much better! So far I've only used the 1" (25) size but the other sizes will be used soon!

I went to the local sewing store looking for one - $30. for just the large one to make double fold bias tape, I pulled up my Amazon app and found this set great deal- I don’t know if I will use the others but I have some ideas. Super deal. I like the Dollar Tree material- little thinner and I get over 3 yards of tape from each roll of cloth

They work really well, once you get them started. I just had to figure out sizes. I wanted a half inch, when folded. So I had I to use a 2” strip of fabric to achieve this. You still have to fold it once you get the fabric ironed out of the fixture, for I what I made. It is called double binding. I used a small piece of interfacing at the very beginning, extending past the fabric. Makes it easy to pull through. Works great. You need to use the largest bias maker. I made it for crossbody bags.

I like to make my own bias tape to coordinate with my wet-felted berets. I always made it by hand before—it’s pretty easy, actually. But I’ve seen these a number of times and wondered if they would be convenient, or just an unnecessary tool. I was pleasantly surprised that they did create the tape with the same accuracy as before. It certainly made the job a little faster. The measurements are in millimeters (the number on the back of each one), so you’ll need to convert if you are in the US. It’s not a deal breaker by any means, and I will say that they seem very sturdy, and they work as described. I can recommend these for your sewing or felting studio.

I had never made bias tape before, but these tools make it so simple. Love, love, love them. Will use them to make all of my bias tape from now on.

I'm making denim bag products and hoping to make straps, but there is no clearance for denim through these bias tape makers. It appears there are no vendors making bias tape makers "large" enough for denim fabrics = opportunity for makers! It's really not fair to this vendor for less than 5 stars as these are advertised as "quilt" bias tape makers.. but I was hoping it would work. ZERO stars for denim. 5 stars for tiny little thin fabric.

So far I’ve just used the largest size but am pleased with the ease of ironing in the folds. It’s a time saver!
