This is a very nicely crafted Tool that can really help with all or possibly just "some" of your Taps. Be aware, depending upon the Tap manufacturer that some smaller size Taps are manufactured with a larger barrel diameter just above the cutting portion of the Tap. The GearWrench smaller Taps are made that way and they will not drop down past the cutting edges into the Big Gator Tool. This is not a Big Gator problem because their tool has to be made to the spec of the cutting diameter portion of the Tap. It is only a problem with certain manufacturer's smaller Taps (#10 or smaller Taps, and the M5 or smaller Taps)With this combo set, the Seller only provides you the Big Gator Plastic Storage Tube with the Standard Tool. The Metric Tool that I got with this combo kit was shipped in a retail blister pack that did not include that very useful Big Gator Storage Tube. That was a bit of a disappointment to get one with and one without in a combo kit. But, I wrote to the Big Gator Folks and they responded the same day with an offer to mail the Storage Tube to me. That was great customer support by the Gator folks and very professional.

These do exactly what they are supposed to do. They seem well made with no sharp edges or problems. Some older reviews complained that only one came with the plastic storage sleeve. Mine came with both so it looks like the company took notice. Would buy again

Work in a machine shop and this tool helps guide your taps straight when hand taping.Would recommend this to any machinist or hobbyist that needs to do hand taping.

Excellent tool for making sure that your tap runs vertical in the hole. These are high quality tools with excellent reference sizes market clearly on the tool.My only complaint is that the metric tool did not come with its storage sleeve like the SAE and the drill guide I bought.
