It is easy to use; very functional. I like that it has 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch and XLR connectivity. It allows me to control volume much better, it is being used to connect a MacBook to a bass amp’s auxiliary input that did not have it’s own volume control. Now I don’t have to be afraid of being blasted by random uncontrolled volume from the laptop.The large knob was lightly touching the control surface, so I easily removed the knob and lightly sanded the bottom edge; problem solved. Also, it needed some type of friction padding to rest on, so I put four silicone padded feet on the bottom.

The item reviewed is called a "Big Knob Passive Studio Monitor Controller", i.e. a professional monitor volume controller for precise audio signal control which is ideal for Studio and Home Audio Systems that is offered by FMUSER.This passive unit (no power source needed) is great for controlling a single audio source into a pair of active (powered) studio monitors. To be clear, this is a volume and mute control for listening to playback only (no impacts to recording / mixing audio streams.) It provides a convenient source of volume control that can be located close to mixing desktop controls, instead of having to go directly to a pair of monitors to adjust volume / mute settings on the speakers themselves. It is just a small bit over priced for a single control unit when most passive units recently released have options to select from 2 to 3 sets of monitors that can be controlled the same way for only a small amount more in price. This is a good unit with quality connections and no interference / ex-tenuous sound. I can recommend this product.

Got a good set of studio monitors that are setup too far away for the built-in volume knob to be easily accessible? Want a big ol' stand alone knob that just controls volume? This is it. This is the thing. I always like to have my volume easily adjustable and easy to spot even in the dark.
