This product worked great for us. We bought this as a last ditch effort to avoid hiring out tile cleaning. It took us about an hour to do our entire pool. We smeared it on fairly thick w a sponge than used a high power hose to rinse it. The worst areas took two passes.I think the mixed reviews are based on the type of tile. We have a white porcelain around most of the pool, which this worked great on. The smaller tiles didnt work as well because quite frankly, this doesnt handle grout that great. We plan to do touch up with muriatic acid on a few spots and the grout but this was very little scrubbing for a 95% improved tile line.

I had hard water Calcium build up on my pool tiles. I had to also use a pumice stone to help the process alittle bit to scrub it off. But this product made the scrubbing not so bad. It did most of the work but not all of the work. I had to scrub aliitle bit. My Calcium build up was pretty bad. I have used just a pumice stone on my pool tiles before WITHOUT this product, it was exhausting!!! This product helps you not have to scrub so hard, helps to loosen up the Calcium build up. I would definitely buy this product again!!

I didn’t think this would work but after applying the acid with cotton ball and letting it sit, the pool tiles cleaned up nicely. I used rubber gloves, goggles, face mask to apply,.. highly toxic!! It’s worth a shot, some tiles may need a 2nd coat and then some scraping.

I use this product in my toilets. We get the ugly hard to remove hard water build up that also collects “ickâ€. Up until this product only scrubbing with a pumice stone would remove the build up. This thick solution can be squirted on, just above the stain/build up and it will run down and settle on the stain. Let it sit 15/20 minutes, scrub well with toilet brush. Swish all around in toilet, let sit another 15-minutes, flush and you have a clean toilet. No scratching the porcelain. The Only product I’ve found that works!

I purchased two bottles of this as I have a fairly large pool, and I live in Brentwood, Ca. We have very hard water (over 30 grains per gallon hard) and our pool had developed a pretty significant ring of calcium deposits around it. It looked bad, and I thought this stuff would help get rid of the hard water deposits around the pool.I followed the directions, and started working on one corner of the pool... 4 hours later, I gave up with this stuff. This product not only did nothing to loosen the deposits, the main thing it did was bleach the deposits super white... So after 4 hours of hard labor, my pool looked significantly worse than when I started. That was a fun Saturday!Seriously, Biodex 300 did absolutely nothing to clean up the tile...I have since gone back to Muriatic Acid and a straight razor blade gasket scraper... That sucks, but at least it works. I have spent quite a bit of time, and I am not done yet... But at least I am making progress! The Biodex 300 made absoluely no progress at all... My wife was almost crying when she went out to see how it was coming along and she saw the super white deposits left behind after I had worked for hours with the Biodex...Save your money... This stuff sucks worse than any product I have tried in years...

This product raised my phosphate levels to 1,000. Just be aware once u finished the tile cleaning to check ur levels and add phosphate neutralizer agents.I poured the Bio Dec directly on tile and after a minute used a power drill with brass wire brush attachments. Got 90% of calcium removed. Water here is extremely hard so build up heavy. I am pleased with result
