Your cart is empty.The 878B, 879B, and 880 40,000-count handheld LCR meters measure inductance, capacitance, and resistance quickly and precisely. The 879B and 880 also measures impedance, Theta, DCR, and ESR. Additionally, the 880 offers capabilities typically only found in bench LCR meters such as a 4-terminal configuration, basic measurement accuracy up to 0.1%, test frequencies up to 100 kHz, selectable test signal levels and measurement rate.

It works good as the LCR function are capable when testing at 100KHz.

From unboxing to testing components this BK Precision 880 unit exceeded my expectations. The first 5 photos show my unboxing with all the extra tools included. Next I show a glass capacitor with a very low Dielectric Absorption value. Next is a high precision ceramic capacitor reading the correct value. Photo 8 is a typical inductor reading. Last is a screenshot of the the windows PC software reading the same capacitor several times via USB port.

A pleasure to use. I tested about 50 resistors, capacitors and inductors. The automatic selection of component type and range make testing extremely easy. I did not make any effort to independently verify the specified accuracy, but that would be extremely difficult, so I am trusting the manufacturer's specs.
