The boiling water trick was perfect for getting the old ones off. The new ones went on perfectly.They appear identical to new tips that came with my poles.Incidentally, I had to do this because one of my carbide tips came off, and I need to use the poles for two significant forays into the Colorado mountains. Thus, the plastic wore down badly without the tip. Again, these are a great replacement so far.

These were the exact same tips which were replaced in 2023 in Damascus, Va. on my thruhike attempt. I bent one at a near 90 degree angle just before my Amazon order while standing on the winter basket trying to replace it for my first loaded hike since my 2023 injury which ended my thruhike, necessitating a total knee replacement in April of this year. There were apparently other, better options from BD, but they were out of stock and I needed an immediate replacement. The tips are longer than other manufacturers, and tended to get caught between roots and rocks more than my previous Lekis. Amazon shipping was quick and painless. ðŸ‘

This BLACK DIAMOND flex matches my Distance FLZ Trekking poles well, it is different from the original one, but fits poles perfectly. A small amount of money put my poles back to work.

These tips are a bit longer than the ones that come with trail back, but they fit just fine and no tools required

The reviewer who suggested using a heat gun on the lowest setting saved me. I had no luck with soaking the tips in hot water.

I have Black Diamond's trekking poles, and it seems the only recourse I have for replacement tips is through Black Diamond. If Black Diamond had designed their poles with (what appears to be) the industry standard 7.8cm length tips, customers could choose from many aftermarket tips that are up to five times cheaper.

Per la sostituzione, nel mio caso Black Diamond Trail, bisogna lasciare il vecchio puntale a bagno in acqua bollente per circa 10 minuti, poi tirare via con l'aiuto di una pinza, quindi installare il nuovo avendo l'accortezza di dare un paio di battute a terra decise per il completo inserimento, tutto sommato operazione alquanto semplice!!

These were simple replacement tips for hiking poles. It turned out easy to remove the old, broken tips and to replace them with the new tips. The instructions were adequate and the tips have been great so far.
