Very well made. I couldn't tell you what gauge stainless steel it was, but I will say, I was surprised with how thick it was (that's what she said! - Michael Scott). Sturdy, gets the job done. As you can see in the picture, it leaves a gap on the bottom so things could still fall through. But bigger items would be safe. I make stir fry and fried rice on my flat top so I'll see how we'll this works for that. I might modify mine in the future to help fill that gap later. We'll see. Either way, 5 stars for the quality. I was totally expecting thinner gauge steel to be used. Glad to see a company make their product out of something that's going to be durable.

I found when using the Blackstone griddle, it was possible that food could accidently be pushed into the grease cup when cooking ground beef or other small pieces of food. The accessory fit the Blackstone perfectly and depending upon the side you position facing the griddle you can prevent food from falling into the grease cup. With the horizontal grate facing you, it separates the small piece of food from the grease. in the other direction, the "teeth" allow small burned pieces to exit the griddle surface and collect in the grease cup. It slides easily when you want to push larger particles into the grease cup and for cleaning the griddle. Made of high quality stainless steel it is dishwasher safe.

This fits perfectly and performs just as well. You can use one side to allow grease to easily flow off the griddle while keeping food on the griddle top. The other side allows grease to run off the griddle top at a slower pace so you can deep fry on the griddle top while keeping your food in place. Extremely easy to clean. I highly recommend this.

Santa was good to me this year and brought me a 36†Blackstone griddle. Looking through YouTube videos and forums for different griddle accessories, I kept coming across a grease gate. Deciding that this was a necessary item, I placed my order. It came in one day which was very handy, however, it doesn’t fit flush with my griddle top. Not a total loss. I’ll continue to use it and just purchase another one that does fit.

Purchased two of these with the intention of using one on my 22 inch Blackstone, and the other on my 17 inch Blackstone. On the 22" griddle it fits fine and works great. The metal is thick and it's easy too move to the side or remove completely. On the 17" griddle, it won't work at all. Because of the way the grease cup hangs from the top edge of the griddle it makes that section thicker than normal and the gap in the grease gate is too thin to fit over the griddle edge. I will be looking for a different design for the 17" griddle and keep the second gate as a spare for my 22".
