Very happy with this purchase. Used the supplied rope for a tag line and reeved 500 feet of my own rope and it worked flawless lowering all the branches on a 60 foot oak tree.

Comes pre-wired. And it's a big thing if you never dealt with pullies like I never did. Let me explain, before I got just the bearings and tried to thread the rope through them and failed miserably. So with this one at least I can see how the ropes should go. Anyways, it works perfect. The only complaint is the length of the rope. It should be 100ft! Because why not?

This is a surprisingly lightweight setup for the lifting capacity. I haven't tried it at near the max rating, but it handled a couple hundred pounds of hay going up into a hayloft just fine.

Needs to have a lock so what you lift can’t fall

Needed a way to get my 60lb dog up in the air in a grooming sling and hold her there. Haven’t done that yet but i did use it to lift the front of my 52†zero radius mower front end up to change the blades and a bad spindal. It worked well for that, i could tell i was lifting something for sure but not a strain at all. Very easy to let it down without losing control. It’s a keeper!

**Review of the Upgraded 4-Wheel Rope Pulley Hoist**I recently recived the Block and Tackle Pulley System, and after using it for various tasks around my garage and during a recent hunting trip, I feel compelled to share my experience. Overall, this upgraded 4-wheel pulley system quite impressively balances power, functionality, and affordability, making it a great asset for anyone needing heavy lifting capabilities.**Constructed for Reliability**First off, the build quality of the pulley system is commendable. The materials used feel durable and robust, allowing me to trust the system during heavy lifting tasks. With a lifting power ratio of 8:1 and a workload capacity of up to 2,200 pounds, it has efficiently handled the loads I’ve thrown at it thus far. From lifting heavier items in my garage to hoisting equipment while hunting, the performance has been reliable.**Rope Considerations**One aspect I felt could use improvement is the rope itself. The included ¼†polypropylene rope, while functional, doesn't quite meet my personal preferences. It does the job but lacks the feel and performance of nylon, which is known for its superior strength and lower stretch characteristics. As I consider switching to a ¼†nylon rope (with a minimum breaking strength of around 1,486 pounds), I'm cautious about ensuring that its use will still conform to the block's load capacity and not adversely affect performance. I’ve noticed that nylon does tend to stretch more than polypropylene, so further research is definitely warranted before making a switch.**Value for Money**Regarding price, I found this pulley system to reflect its quality quite well. For a product designed for occasional use, it's hard to complain considering the level of function it provides at a reasonable price point. It serves its purpose impeccably without breaking the bank, which is ideal for casual users like myself.**Conclusion**In summary, the Block and Tackle Pulley System is a solid investment for anyone needing an occasional heavy lifting aide. It boasts a reliable construction and impressive lifting capabilities, making it versatile enough for various applications. However, the choice of rope might require some personal adjustments depending on your specific needs. Overall, I would recommend this system for its performance and value, with a gentle note on exploring better rope options for those who seek perfection in their lifting gear.
