I can only say this is awesome... we have deep pile carpet now and this sits on top and allows me to roll about with ease.

This mat is way better than trying to roll around on carpet. I didn't want the spiked one because I didn't want to cause further damage to a carpeted room. I agree with others saying that it moves. I pretty much have to slide it back in place after every use. That takes all of about 3 seconds. Not a big deal. I have a chair with 5 wheels and it fits nicely on the 34x47. The leg opening under my desk is 48". I do tend to roll around a bit because I have different tasks on either end of the desk. It's thick and sturdy and much nicer looking.

This chair mat was perfect, it came flat, none of that rolled up mess you pray will lay flat after some time. I did let it get to room temperature before I put it under my chair as a precaution.

It works on my long shag carpets. I get no deents in the pad. It is clear and shows the carpet color with no color distortion. Seems to be very tough.
