I did a fair bit of research and read a lot of reviews and forum posts before buying this case. I've seen it referred to as the "Honda Accord" of violin cases: safe, reliable, and affordable. Now that I have it, I completely agree with that assessment. The fit is good for my instrument, but just a little on the snug side now that I have added a silk violin bag to the mix. It is also a bit lighter than I was expecting, or perhaps all the yoga is starting to pay off. I would still love to have a Musafia case someday when I can afford it, but I'm very happy with the quality of this one right now.

For the money, an outstanding case. Well-constructed for safety, velvet interior, cushy suspension, string tube, spring bow holders, and plenty of room in the three accessory boxes on the interior. One of the best exterior rain covers I have seen with ample room for a lot of music. A bit thin on the interior at the lower bouts of the instrument, and not much padding there -- but you won't find more unless you go up beyond the $600 range and above, and even then, is it variable. A far better value in craftsmanship and protection than more expensive cases, like the Negri Monaco, which I also have. At well over $300, the Negri is junk by comparison -- thin hard walls, thin felt interior (yes, felt!), very thin padding, practically zero suspension, no string tube, one accessory box with no proper hinge so that when you open it, it falls onto the scroll of your instrument if it is still in the case, and a cover that is paper thin and only water-resistant. The Boboleck is definitely a bargin and well-made -- I transferred my early 18th-century instrument from my 20-year-old jeager etui, which while still solid, has no suspension and compressed padding by now -- I feel completely confident in the ability of this case to protect my precious instrument.

This is not a light-weight case and I knew this so I won't complain about that. It is a beautiful, sturdy case. Good suspension support inside. My favorite feature about the case is a small humidifier and it's built-in holder! I used to keep a small supplement bottle with a moistened sponge inside the case, so this is a nice upgrade. The one big complaint I have about this case is that when you open the case, the lid doesn't stay open.. until you really push it hard and have it perfectly balanced at the right angle. And even so you can't trust that it'd stay open! Because of this I don't feel comfortable leaving the case open with the violin underneath resting casually over the blanket (you know what I mean) during my rehearsal break. With a little change of air pressure, the lid would come down at any moment! I don't know how this manufacture didn't notice this problem..... Or this is a defect just with my case. I had returned another case (different brand) already and didn't want to go through that again so I kept this one, hoping that the binding system inside the case that holds the lid would stretch a bit in time and would become easier to stay open.. but it hasn't happened. It's very annoying... Now I wonder if I should have returned this case for a replacement!
