Shredder is quiet and does it's job well. Have only had it a week but it easily ate up by backlog of papers needing shredding. It is smaller than I expected, but plenty big enough to not need emptying very often. I'm happy.

this shredder is half as loud as my old one , and I have put some heavy paper thru it and grinds them up without a problem. very satisfied with it so far

No problems!! I don't go over the 4 minute continual use recommendation, and haven't had a "burning" smell or stopping of shredder from being over used, that I've read others have experienced. I have sat and used for over half hour but not continually loading with documents during that period. Never had any problems doing that. While I think 10 papers is a bit much at once, machine seems to have a harder time doing that, I have put in up to 7-8 and machine works with no problems. While I've only had @ a month, I've eliminated all I've been saving in two days. Feeling better my paperwork can't get into the wrong hands with sensitive info. in them. Had cheaper shredders in past, but they burned out quick, even following recommendations. I think me and this one gonna be together much longer. Reasonably priced for my usage I believe! It jammed once, I hit reverse, then forward buttons...perfectly finished shredding! Very easy to put together and use immediately. I only use at home for personal papers. Bin does fill fast and I've had to empty few times to continue using, but again, its for my personal use and emptying bin allows cool down time to top piece which is shredder.

This is an amazing product. So quiet. You can hear the motor but very soft. It ate my documents like they say my dog ate my homework. I tried jamming the max. It did slow down but streaded it all. Max 10 sheets. It ate those cardboard ads like nothing.

So far, very good. We purchased one from Staples originally and in less then one month, it stopped working and staples would not exchange or refund!So, fingers crossed, hopefully better luck with this one.

Great shredder! I had 20 years of papers I needed to shred. I had zero problems and ran this shredder for 2 days straight. No overheating and no mechanical issues at all. I love this shredder.

Noise is as expected, loud. Safety features are as expected, a tab with settings and no tab lock. Also has an internal safety tab making it unusable outside the bin. At $43 it’s a fair price. The 4 gal size is actually pretty nice. A target or walmart bag can fit over the top of the bin, making it easy to just flip over and empty into the bag without overflow. Maybe my favorite feature. The top is easy to remove and put aside. It has two hand openings on either side, which I like much better than the front and back. And it’s almost as good as a handle on top.It has 4 settings which is a bonus. Full forward, auto, and full reverse. Full forward is not available on all shredders and sometimes that can lead to a bad jamming issue. Resulting from the auto lever being wedged up by half shredded material and leaving you with no way to get it to work again. Besides taking a thin board and jamming down the slot until finally it clicks the auto lever back on.Full forward is a near must if you’re looking at shredders in general. But this little Bonsen has got all the needed settings and it chewed through everything I threw at it. But there were a couple thick bills that jammed it up. Still it was easy enough to reverse, pull them back out and re-shred after opening them. Frankly the jamming issue was more a fault of the small slot opening of the shredder, as its little motor wants to eat through anything. So be careful.I actually really liked the way this looks overall. The silver top and black bin is a simple clean design and looks better imo than most other shredders out there. And Its form factor being a rectangle with nice rounded corners is really efficient. And can be placed anywhere if saving space is a need. As is not the case with many other shredders. If you’re looking for a solid 8 page shredder, this is a really good bang for your buck at around $43.

The Bonsen shredder is faster and more quiet then my old shredder. It also looks good and does not take up to much space.
