This "engineering" notebook is actually suitable for lab experiments, field observations, and for all sorts of legally sensitive matters and collecting intellectual property on high quality paper that will not bleed through as I have experienced it thus far. Good for design and flow charts for chemical processes, and all sorts of information you want witnessed and dated as to when you entered information on what page and date, and it has all anyone would want for legally establishing when something was done and what information has been witnessed and understood.

I used the larger Engineering Notebooks while working for Lockheed. I got used to using them, even after Lockheed. But they are a bit big for traveling everywhere with them. This size is about 25% smaller, big enough for the data and notes but not too big to travel with them. They still have the sturdy binder and cover which is great for traveling, working in labs, ie getting tossed around.

For starters, I absolutely love the weight to it. The engineering notebook is very durable and you can tell by the weight and craftsmanship. You can see the binding, creases and folds done to make this engineering notebook. Everything I need is here. It’s got a section for you to input personal data, table of contents, and proprietary information block on each page. This notebook is literally everything I need as an engineering student and aspiring designer.

The product was advertised as being 8 inches by 10 inches. While those are the dimensions of a single page, the actual book is both taller and wider. These dimensions are not provided anywhere. I needed it to fit into my field case and virtually all other notebooks/journals that advertise as 8 x 10 work just fine.I was hoping to move to a more professional looking book. As it stands, I will be returning this product for a full refund as it is not as advertised and the dimensions were a critical part of this purchase.

Quality paper that doesn't let ink bleed through and hardcover is a great weight for onsite/outdoor work. The binding and cover embossing are perfect for professional presentations. I will definitely buy again.
