These are great for cutting braid as well as mono line. I either clip to belt loop or fishing bag and the extendable string allows easy access. Cuts close not like fumbling with pliers to do. With retractable blades no chance of cutting yourself or fishing bag. With I had one sooner can’t recommend enough.

Just received my 5th Boomerang. They work great - for a time. What ends up happening is they gradually lose their ability to cleanly cut braid. Perhaps this is because mine are only used on a salty coast but I rinse well after every use. Still I find them better than scissors or other cutters.

These are great for any fisherman! My husband and son use them all the time and they have held up very well. They said they can cut braid (a type of fishing line that is generally harder to cut) with ease. They are a small compact size, great to throw in a pocket or small tackle box if you were fishing out of a kayak. They have a retracting cord on them, but my boys haven’t used that, but would think that would be a handy thing to have. I pictured them attaching it to something so they wouldn’t lose it, but so far, so good. Would buy again when they do lose it:

Look at the price! For very little money, you get the BEST braid cutter! Yes, it is a little wonkie to slide open and closed, and there’s a lot of plastic body around those tiny blades, but it cuts like a charm. In a year or two of serious use the magical sharpness and laser-like cutting will fade and you will need to buy a new one. So what. You can replace these scissors almost a hundred times and not spend the money that a big, fancy pair of fame-name cutters would cost and you will have a tool that makes much better cuts. Worth the money? ABSOLUTELY! Be smart and buy them two or three at a time-they're that good and that inexpensive. I am on my third pair. These scissors define “cost effective!â€

This has to be the best line cutter for braided fishing line! If you have used braid and had to cut it you will know that, for such thin line, it is a pain in the neck to cut cleanly. After trying everything I had on hand, 3 pair of scissors and 3 fly fishing nippers, I ordered this as a last resort. I'm still not sure how it does it but it cuts braid fast and clean, and works on any other type line as well. I have two now!

This is a well made, very handy piece of equipment. Here's why I like it:I often fish in the cold, and this tool is perfect for cold hands.When I am cutting and tying, I am likely in a hurry and it is nice to not have to remember where I put my pliers.Small jaws reduce the likelihood of nicking the line.No chance of stepping on it.Better sight of line than with nail clipper style tools.Tiny serrations slice through broad, and keep larger diameter fluorocarbon from slippingI have the Rapala version, and it is inferior.Pliers in a holster can punch through a car or boat seat, this will not.Keeps sharp stuff away from kids in boat.One hand to retrieve, operate and stow.This thing is so handy, I use it when tying egg loops at home.

Bought a pair of these in the states a few years ago and used them every trip until lost them. Chuffed to find them on here. Can't recommended highly enough. Small sharp and safe.
