The flip display is illuminated and rotating, making it easy to read. The simple miter cut calculation has an input range of 0-220 degrees, and it includes a compound cut calculator. Used this tool on a handrail project and it was extremely helpful figuring out tricky angles and mitre joints. Also got complements from other tradesmen on the jobsite on how cool it looks. Perfect accuracy. And also super sturdy and high quality. I can't recommend this tool enough!

This product is great well-made and well thought out. The cost seems a little high, but it is quality and will last for a long long time. This is something that you only buy once and get to hand it down to your kid if you have one.

This is an excellent tool, and if you work with angles and degrees a lot this can really help you out. I do metal fabrication work for a living and use this for measuring staircases and getting accurate angles. The older version does not have the locking knob on the front like the new one does. Excellent feature. Works well and does not move position.

The angle finder is pretty amazing. I admit that. But I think it is capable of even more than the manual claims. For crown moldings it obviously is great. The manual is fairly clear on that. However, if it can do that, I can see no reason why it can't do other compound angles, for instance giving the cut and bevel for rafters intersecting a different roof, (like on a gable.) But there are no directions for figuring such out. Bosch has so far been totally useless in my requests for some assistance on that matter too. If I could rate Bosch customer service, I'd give them a 1.

Arrived 4 or 5 days late and was disappointed that the product appeared to be a demo, or possibly a returned, product. A few slight scratches and the manual was wasn't in the original packaging. It was loose at the bottom of the shipping box. Brad at Sitech was quick to reply to my concerns, apologized for the inconvenience, and offered to organize a return as soon as he could figure out a method of paperwork through USPS. That was two weeks ago. Haven't pushed too hard, but It'd be nice if there was some compensation.Further dismayed that a local tool supplier (Summit) had the exact same model on an unadvertised sale for $199 (CDN) when I was in their store last week. Oh well, that's on me for not calling them.As far as the Bosch 220mf, I used it once for a baseboard/crown molding job in a hallway with 14 various inside/outside corners. Took about 5 minutes to get all 28 angles for both crown and baseboard.Another nice feature is the angles on the LCD display are large enough that they can be read with ease. In the unlocked position, the protractor hinge has just the right resistance to be manipulated smoothly and will keep its place when withdrawn from a measurement. You can also easily lock the hinge with a quarter turn if desired.Moving forward, I have approximately 45-50 more corners to measure along with 3 flights of stairs and this product makes the task quick andaccurate.Before I started my project, I needed some better gear to work with and the Bosch GAM 220MF is a terrific addition. Along with the GAM 220 MF, I also upgraded my miter saw to a Dewalt DWS780 double bevel slider with XPS and got a Bosch GLM 35 laser measure. The Dewalt LED XPS is awesome!I would highly recommend the GAM 220 MF.

For steel stair and railing, it's a great relief to have an accurate tool like this. I guard it jealously and treat it carefully.
