I just received this and tested it out. It arrived with a battery installed but would not turn on. That gave me some concern. It also came with a new sealed battery. Once I installed the new battery it powered right up. I tested it for the accuracy against some precise speed squares that I have and it was 100% accurate. You can lay both blades on a flat surface and "zero" it out to reset the starting point. I also like that it automatically turns on when you spread the blades apart. Unless it dies or the accuracy diminishes, neither of which I expect, I think this is a purchase is a great value.

Works really well. I bought this for setting angles on my bandsaw, and it does the job nicely. One thing to note is that you need to press the "hold" button BEFORE you tighten the locking mechanism, or it will mess up the digital reading. Otherwise, it's a really good product.

Measures angles very accurately with it's large digital display. It's well made also.I'm satisfied, and recommend buying it.

I like the way it works and it's easy to find the angles I need to find but it doesn't always stay in the same mode while I'm using it. I'll turn it on, then zero it in inches. Start to use it, to find an angle, look at the reading and it had changed to metric. I was careful not to touch any buttons while using, thinking thats what I had done, but after using it several times, and I know for sure I didn't touch any buttons, it still changed to metric. I DID find that if I hit the mode button, I could change the reading to fractions as well as metric. I'll keep it, though.

An angle gauge can be used to simply replicate and transfer an angle so it can be reproduced. A gauge can also display the actual value, to verify the correct angle has been obtained, when creating something new. This digital gauge can do both. For a few dollars more than the analog versions, the digital version covers all the bases. The gauge was verified against other devices and produced the correct value repeatedly. Holds the measurement electronically and mechanically. Construction and appearance means user's technique or skill isn't likely to affect measurement.
