The basket was sturdy and good size. Both of them. The liners were a cheap grade of fabric which I’m questioning washing because of shrinkage. It looks like it is thrown together,Which I think it is. The liners take away from the product.

Using a bread proofing basket greatly improved the rise and crust on my standard bread recipe. The fabric liner is awesome! Super easy to transfer dough in and out of the basket. Love it!

I was really sceptical of buying this product since I am not a big fan of kitchen unitaskers. However, I gave it a try.My verdict: if you are after a tall and picture perfect sourdough loaf, it's really nice to have one of these.On the photos: left, with darker ear: the bread I proofed in the basket. Right, with lighter ear: the bread I proofed before, in a pasta collander lined with a bread linen bag. The recipe and technique was pretty much identical, with maybe a slight variation in shaping and scoring, since I am still learning. The left loaf is also a bit darker because I baked it longer than the first in the end (15 instead of 12 mins without the lid). The result: the basket-proofed loaf is slightly taller, more rounded and I think sprung more (I didn't cut it open yet).I can't speak of the durability yet, but based on other reviews, the linen and the basket are hand wash only.Overall I am quite happy with this product.

Not much to say about these. They do the job. Quality feels good, but since I have never owned one before I have nothing else to compare to. But the results of my finished sourdough means if I want to buy again then I'll buy these again

The quality of these bannetons is as good as any other I've used. I personally find them a little on the large side. I do a 500g loaf; 400g flour in the dough, 100g in the starter. With that, I tend to like an 8" round banneton. But, these are perfectly good if they are an appropriate size for you.This set of two bannetons with liners is selling for £25.99 at the time of this review. I personally think that's overpriced, but that's not unique to this set. That's the case for bannetons, and any other niche hobby related goods, in general.
