Student took this on a week-long trip to varying climates, and this kept the reeds safe and protected from humidity changes. We added a hair band over the outside when not in oboe case, to be sure that case stayed closed even if dropped. Uses on a daily basis now. Good value for price.

It's a nice case. I couldn't be considered an expert, this is the first and only reed case that I have ever had, but it serves its purpose adequately. Some parts are slightly loose and hold maybe 2/6 reeds slightly more loosely than the others, which is my only complaint. This is really a minor problem, because the reeds are still pretty secure. It opens easily, but doesn't open by accident, and gives ample room for each reed without damaging it. It's also cheaper than most of the other reed cases I've seen online. A good buy.

As described I didn't realize it shipped from China. Seems to be well made for the price. Wouldn't use it for six reeds easy to damage being that close together. Better for three.

Lo utilizo para llevar cañas de oboe, le caben 6, y la verdad es que en relación calidad-precio está bastante bien ya que en cualquier tienda de música te cobran un "pastizal" por un estuche parecido. Cumple su función a la perfección y es tal cual se ve en la foto.

I like the product as a whole. But finishes aren't great especially the metal hinges and the lever to lock the box.hope that manufacturer will improve those areas. that is the reason for loosing a star. Inner cushion and slots are well crafted and neat. Would recommend for a friend.
