Probably the smoothest threading ive had on a filter. It is heaver than many of the traditional step up rings but I take it as a plus. I personally ordered this to work with my voigtlander color skopar 35mm which has a thread size of 43mm, but I didnt realize it would cover up a third of my rangefinder patch! This obviously isnt a manufacturing error, im jus a dummy head. Planning on keeping it in the event I want to use this lens on my mirrorless camera with filters.

This study step up ring attaches and detaches smoothly from both the lens and the filter. It feels very solid and screws in place much more smoothly than similar aluminum rings. The ring is quite heavy, in no small part because there is a hefty amount of brass needed to connect a 43mm lens to a 77mm filter. Although I had not heard of this brand, its quality impresses me and I would easily buy another.

It's a last choice for a step-up ring because it does not have a "knurled edge" for gripping it, when trying to remove it. It's edge is smooth and very hard to budge it away from the VND filter that I use it for. Also, it's very heavy.

Honestly, it is pretty hard to go wrong with a step up ring, but this one does a good job. I haven’t had any issues with cross threading, bending, or even scratching. It works exactly as expected and that is all that is needed for something like this.
