Spacing is awesome. Great that it folds up for storage. Unfortunately, the bamboo isn't very hard and cutting bread leaves knife marks in the wood.

This product seems great in theory but here are a few things that were problematic for me :1. Wood shavings in my food. When you cut, the knife naturally is guided by the wood slats. The wood shavings come off in your bread as the knife cits throughbecauseits rubbing. (see pics).2. The bottom is also bamboo so slides all over while trying to slice the bread.3. This is mostly my fault...but a round sourdough loaf won't fit in here..only good for sandwich style bread.4. Again, probably me, but once I pulled the slats into place, I could NOT get them to lay flat again.
It worked one day and quit.

The board will not stay securely in the grove. The knife i bought was a beautiful but to short to saw the bread. I was looking forward to seeing my delicious homemade bread sliced perfectly.
