Sensor went bad in my Land Rover LR3 (alarm would randomly go off). To get around the problem I removed the bad sensor and bridged the connector with a paperclip bent into a 'U'. Very easy to install.

Land Rover requires the purchase of the entire latch assembly when the sensor wears out. Although the price delta between the entire assembly and just the sensor is small, I felt that a lot more effort is required to install the entire assembly. This product (sensor only) snapped out and reattached in less than five minute.

Didn't solve my problem but was used for troubleshooting. Still on the LR3 today and no issues.

Simple install, fixed my alarm problem when the truck said the hood was opened. Worth it for a quick DIY fix.

Came in unlabeled package - but was stamped as a Ford part (similar to orignal) and worked fine !
