Yes, it's expensive, but you get what you pay for. I never had any problems with Brother cartridges. Well worth it.

OEM toner usually works best and thats 100% true for this Brother cartridge. Went in fine, prints fine and has been going strong for months!

After my ink jet printer finally "died," I ponied up for an all-in-one color laser printer. I am a big believer in Consumer Reports, and almost all of their top-rated printers were made by Brother. I don't know if it's supply chain issues or something else, but buying the model I wanted was next to impossible. Luckily, I lucked into the "next to" part of that statement and got the only model available in the greater Milwaukee area, where I live. I have been extremely happy with the purchase but was a little nervous about having to replace the cartridges, being an entirely different "animal" than the ink jets that I had dealt with for many years. I decided to order the name brand Brother cartridge when the black toner ran out, wary of off-brand replacements. It turned out to be fairly simple to replace, and I appreciated that Brother made it easy to send the old cartridge back for recycling - there is a fair amount of disposable hardware that I would have felt guilty just adding to a landfill. Of course, the best part is that it works like a charm. No error messages or anything to make me feel like I had messed up. Nice experience all around.

We ended up getting this Brother ink instead of purchasing the knock off versions, and are so happy we did. The knock off ink cartridges stopped working repeatedly, and we'd have to take them out, fiddle around, and then put them back in again. Sometimes they'd work and sometimes they wouldn't! Very frustrating when it says they're still half full and you have a bunch of work still to do! We haven't had a single issue with any of the Brother ink cartridges at all! I guess you get what you pay for in the end. Will definitely be purchasing these from now on!

This original replacement is great, and a return label is provided for your old cartridge. I thought this was the wrong cartridge, but it is in fact the "part" of the complete cartridge + carrier used in the printer which contains the toner.

Does not fit MFC-L3745CDW in Australia. Cartridge has different design. Very bad from Brother not to standardise products .
