This cord allows me to use my backup battery bank to recharge my radio in the field as well as other batteries I have for my radio and my friends' radios. This is definitely helping a great deal when we are doing longer hikes and camping. This teamed with a solar charger is ideal for long trips and allow you to conveniently recharge the radio without removing from the pack. Definitely buying more of this.

I actually returned this for the battery pack that allows for a USB c charging port, made my life easier.

Works great with a properly rated power supply. Gets warm, but doesn't melt and charges the high capacity after-market Baofeng battery much quicker than waiting HOURS for the base charger to take care of the larger battery. THe only problem is that it's easy to lose track: in other words, small hands and small dogs have made this item disappear! I would buy another one, but I do not use this type of radio anymore.

I could have built one of these from scratch using kit parts, but then I would have had to spend twice as much on parts and then I'd have a bunch of extra parts lying in a box collecting dust with all my other "I can build one of those myself" parts and they'd be the source of those voices in my head calling to me night and day to build something I don't need... and the garage would fill up with all that spare parts project junk and I wouldn't have a placed to park the car and then other family members would get annoyed and I'd become divorced and homeless and well you can see where this is going... INSTEAD OF ALL THAT, just buy one of these and use it - it does the job, it's built well, and does not come with a ton of excess packaging. Well done!

The cable successfully charged my radio via my car's usb port, just a little slower than the 110v power supply in my home does. Worked exactly as advertised.

This is a good piece with a detachable end so you get 2 different jack sizes and it works off of us. Perfect for the car or a powerbank

A good charger for the 3800mah Boofwang (IYKYK) battery. Can be flimsy so I gently crack them open and flood the inside of the case with a hot glue gun and seal it back up with some electrical tape, seems to help with the durability.

je ne comprend pas pourquoi, si j’écoute une station météo normal qui émet constamment (pour mieux comprendre le problème) et que le connecte la batterie sur une prise usb de 1 amp, je perd le son, il devient silencieux, il ne reçoit plus (la led verte ne s’allume plus) mais la fréquence reste affichée.. je croyais pourvoir charger et en même temps utiliser la radio mais non, puisque sans le son, c’est inutile.. alors qu’avec la base, je le fais sans problème.. sinon, il charge bien, consomme 5w sur le usb et la led de charge devient verte à 7.30v, cependant la tension monte à 7.46v après une nuit (alors que le max sans stresser les batteries devrait être 8.40v pour le li-ion en configuration 2S ou 2 en séries).. le chargeur chauffe légèrement et semble performant..
