Originally I was going to return it like others have said, but I realized that the contact wasn't all the way in.BUT THEY DO WORK, you just need to verify contact. On the bottom, you can see if the wires are reaching all the way to the end. On the top, you can tell if the contacts look far out. It doesn't have to be flush, just needs to make contact. If its sticking out halfway, it's most likely not holding contact correctly.Side note: Multimeter helps to verify contact is made. I didn't clamp mine enough and got 2.4 volts. The minute I clamped it harder I got 5.1v as expected.

These were the only solderless connectors I could find that would fit in the diffuser channel I had. Crimping them can be a bit of a challenge. In theory, you put wires in one side and the LED strip in the other and just crimp down with pliers. In practice, you have to be careful because if you don't crimp straight down, the metal tab will bend sideways instead.Having extra wire in the package was a plus, but I would have liked more wire-to-strip connectors instead of strip-to-strip. They were still a time saver and U avoided needing to solder strips together.

Absolutely terrible product. I purchased these with some BTF WS2182B lights.First off, I purchased 2 packs and of these and neither pack came with any directions. All you have is the images and video that is offered on this product page. Nothing written.Secondly, the package also comes with 4 screws (???????) and 4 clear rectangular pieces that have adhesive tape on one side of them (???????). No idea what these are for and absolutely no explanation whatsoever. They're not even listed in any of the pictures on the product page.I tried the first connector, the strip to strip connector. Easy enough.. insert the two strips and they should light up. NOPE. Strips are cut right on the lines as indicated and nothing. The strips EASILY come right out of the connectors. There is nothing to hold them in place. The metal conductors on top of the strips do not move or press down or anything. There's no way these connectors are making contact with the strips.I tried the wire to strip connectors, again same thing. The conductors are making no contact and nothing to keep any wires or strips in place. They just fall out and nothing to crimp them down into place.I ended up purchasing a 3 pin 10 pack wire connector set from RGBZone. They worked GREAT. VERY easy to use and they come with connector covers that you crimp down to keep everything connected and in place. The only downside is that they are kind of bulky. I also purchased a spool of 22AWG wire. Everything setup perfectly and lights work great.Setting up a return and hopefully can return this item. AVOID THIS PRODUCT.

Updated review and rating with my issue and solution. This will help new buyers trouble shoot.Should be an easy set up but what a pain. I couldn't get a good connection no matter how many times I tried so I'll be soldering mine. Wanted to try an easier solution but this didn't work.Update:Finally got the conector to work. I used the piece to connect 2 strips together with no wires. I had several issues for future buyers. First it was a pain to get my leds connected to Strips I already had taped down and I was standing on a ladder. You have to firmly hold both strips inside the connector befkre you press down on the metal blades. The issue I had was the 3 thin pieces you squeeze down will bend if you don't do it perfectly. If just one bends then you won't make a connection since the metal piece won't be long enough to touch the led strip pads inside the plastic piece. It will look like it's enough but for me it wasn't. I redid this 3 times and on the 3rd I was so mad I took the pliers and squeezed so hard on that part trying to break it. We'll it worked 😆 if this didn't I was going to toss this in the trash and soldier my strips. So lession learned, don't bend the 3 gold colored blades when pressing down on them. All 3 have to go straight down into the chanel. If you do that and still no connection look at your connector sideways and see if any of the metal blades are sticking up more than the others or see if one is slightly bent so that one blade isn't long enough.

Easy and straight forward to connect. EXCELLENT instructions on how to cut and join. My purpose needed was a 45º corner moulding. The lights and corner connector were mounted under a 1" x 2" channeled wood. After the connectors were solidly in place I had to maneuver the boards on the mounding and place on top. Many attempts to mount and the connectors held tight and light on the first try. While I did not use BTF Led's the compatibility was expected of BTF. Included photos are the underside and top view.

These are easy to use. However, over time, about 25% will lose their connections and some of your LED strips will stop working. Frustrating, since this is an ongoing issue—even after re-tightening the connectors. If you only have a few strips, then use them. But, for bigger projects, don't use them! You'll save yourself the headache in the future. You're better off just soldering strips together. More reliable and easier, in the end.

The side of the connectors that connects to the strip works great. But the side that holds the wire (that came with it by the way) does not tighten enough to securely hold. 2 of the 3 wires fall out with just a bit of tension. Have to return if it does not work. Disappointing as after a fair bit of research the btf products were supposed to be a step up from others. Even the instructions, were lacking and little help. Thats only once I found them as they didn't come with the package...

(Update: company reached out and gave a full refund based on my experience.) These are pretty bad connectors. I used BTF lighting's own extension cables and these connectors worked maybe 1 time out of 5. Big waste of time. Also they are not reusable so you have one shot at it when crimping them down.

I was trying to connect some RGBIC led light strips and while this product seemed like it would be the perfect solution, the problem is the design flaw that it has pins inside. The locking pins that once pushed in, if pushed in too far (which is hard to judge until already too late) it will destroy the circuit. It is also a 1 time use that if you mess up, you cannot reuse the piece again, forcing to cut off the piece and possibly also the damaged part of the light strip. So unless you are some kind of perfect machine that can use just the right amount of force to push the pins in just far enough that they connect the circuit but not puncture and destroy the circuit, you might want to look for less destructive options.
