I like this bulb planter tool, because it has a large hand grip and is quite sturdy. The notched bottom edge makes pushing it through soil relatively easy.

I layed down weed fabric and mulch in my garden and planned on planting flower later. I had a 72cell tray with flowers sprouting ready to go into the ground. I used this dibber tool to punch a hole in the fabric and into the dirt, and popped my seedlings in the hole it made and no need to backfill. Super quick and easy.
