This worked great for setting stepping stones at ground level so I won't hit them with my lawn mower!

It's built solidly and all in all, a good product that could be a little better. One reason I bought is that it's American made so it's got that going for it as well. There are a few downsides. The blade isn't ground to a sharp enough degree. It's about 1/8" thick material and I'd say the blade profile is ground to about 50º to 55º angle. Around 25º or 30º would be better cutting into dirt but maybe that would lead to chipping off of the metal or dulling faster. I sharpened the angle of the blade with a grinder so that it would cut into clay dirt better. The tip could come to a sharper point and is somewhat rounded. I've toyed with the idea of reshaping the blade into a more angular tip but that would lose dig-in depth and will probably instead, keep it sharp and live with it.One of the handles slips and rotates on the pipe but not a big deal. The foot placement is fair but it should be somewhat larger for larger shoes and especially for boots.

Works exactly as described. Easy to keep a nice edge to flower beds.

While very sturdy and easy to use (aside from caloric output- which I expected with a manual tool-), this edger did not perform as well as I hoped. The 'cutting' edge is very dull, and cut at a steep angle that is not especially easy to sharpen. I think after several hours of work with a b- rasp file I can sharpen it. Currently, tough roots (e.g. grass) resist and I have to stomp on it with some vigor to get thru the vegetation. Some areas I had to go over twice. It would be a MUCH better tool if they put at least a modest edge on the working end of the stick.

My neighbor had one and I must say I coveted it and then I borrowed it. I was sold after that. I had to buy one for myself. It works in the garden in many many ways. It is an excellent tool. I highly suggest it for any gardener.

Used to edge a flower bed. It worked good for a 70 year. Old woman…had push in from side to side but it worked pretty quickly.
