The drill bushings on the sliding parts are too large for typical #8 cabinet screws and the drill bits provided are significantly smaller than the drill bushings. I epoxied in some stainless tubing to reducing the bushing sizes and then worked great. Without this modification it doesn't work well.

This product is worth every penny! It saved me countless hours of work and allowed for precise placement of over 57 drawer and cabinet pulls. Easy to use and setup which was great because I had dozens of different sizes to deal with in both the vertical and horizontal orientation. Dual rulers facilitate settings in the XY coordinates without the need for any guesswork using the individual guide windows. Edge guides can be set to stabilize drilling operations. Comes with 5 appropriately-sized bits and the guides, while made of plastic, have metal inserts to protect them during drilling. In short, this tool allowed me to maximize efficiency while retaining a fantastic result. Highly recommended item for DIY cabinet hardware installation.

I used this to drill holes for some drawer pulls , it was surprisingly easy , effective and affordable. I just bolted my pull through the drill guides and centered the pull on the horizontal scale ( inches on one side, metric on the other) Then adjusted the vertical and horizontal stops to center the pull on the drawer. Drilled the holes with drill bits provided and it all lined up.
