as others have said, the instructions are somewhat lacking, but it isn't hard to figure out and once set up, works great. doesn't seem too fussy, set screws hold tight and no need to constantly readjust. installed 14 cabinet handles and allinstalled quickly and evenly.

Love this! Made very well. Once I got used to it, made cabinet doorknobs and pull handles mount perfectly! Fits back into case easily. After a learning curve, highly functional and wide range of usage making installation easy.

For the DIYer, this is a great jig for precisely locating your cabinet hardware with consistency. There are other more expensive versions out there, but they cost a lot more. This one worked as expected. It’s simple to set up. From the time I opened the box, it took less than 10 minutes to set it up for my first project. Probably would have been half that time if I had actually bothered to read the instructions. Once the jig is set up, marking the holes with the supplied spring-loaded punch is quick. You do need to take a little care with the punch as you can get it at an angle in the guide hole if you’re not careful. I like the method of only using the jig to locate the holes for the punch. The other versions out there show you drilling through the jig bushing. Trying to hold the jig, the cabinet door/drawer and the drill would be tricky. I pre-drilled the 11/64†holes with a 3/32†bit to ensure it stayed aligned with the punch marks. My first project was complete in less than 30 minutes from opening the box. I would definitely recommend this for the DIYer. The jig may not hold up long for the professional installer doing hundreds of pulls each year.I dinged this product 1 star because of the instructions. The product is made in China and the instructions are translated from Chinese (assumption). I see this all the time. The translators, probably software, do a poor job with the English language. The front cover of the instruction pamphlet is titled “Handle Cabinet Haroware Jigâ€. The next line says “Metric and Imoerial Double Scaleâ€. Then key features are listed that include “Porous Measurement†and “Protableâ€. The back of the pamphlet says “How to Intallâ€. There are multiple grammar errors within the instructions as well. These are easily corrected if reviewed by someone that has English as the first language.

In trying to save money on our big renovation, I decided to install cabinet hardware myself. Having done this before, I wasn't looking forward to the task. Then, i found this jig-what a difference it made for installing hardware! Once you take the time to set it up correctly, the process is quick! It is well thought out and quality made. Worth every penny and then some!

I used this jig for about 40 cabinet pulls (2 screws each) on doors and drawers. It works great. The jig itself is easy to set up and stays set between doors and drawers. I set it up for cabinet left hand pulls and simply had to flip it over for right hand pulls, so I was able to do over 30 cabinet doors without resetting the jig. The spring-loaded center punch that was included was also a great feature. It provided the perfect start for the drill bit to drill the necessary holes. Overall, the jig is a bit flimsy, but that did not affect the accuracy or function of what I needed. If you are a professional and plan to use it for a lifetime, you might want a sturdier one, but for the occasional DIY user like myself it's more than adequate, especially for the very inexpensive price.

I used this tool to replace the hardware on all our kitchen drawers and cabinets (50+ in total). The new pulls required different holes than the ones I was replacing, so I had to align the new fixtures to cover the holes for the existing pulls. Many of the new pulls had 3 screws and getting those properly spaced by measuring and marking each with a square would have taken forever and likely would have resulted in some "misses", given my limited carpentry skills. This tool made the job super easy and relatively fast, and I had no "do overs".I had some hesitation when comparing this tool to other more expensive options due to some of the parts being plastic, but it worked like a champ, and I have zero regrets not opting for one of the more expensive all-metal options. The jigs locked in place and did not move once set and I was able to install all of the pulls of the same size without further adjustment. I will note that rather than measuring the distance between the holes and using the scale on the ruler, I just used the mounting screws for the pulls through the jig holes to align the spacing and lock the jigs in place. To make sure I was properly aligned with the existing holes I needed the new pulls to cover, I inserted a punch through the jig into one of the existing holes, then set the depth gauge and that worked great. The spring-loaded punch made easily identifiable dents that made locating each hole easy. I used a Milescraft Drill Block to make sure I drilled the holes straight and true and I think that helped me keep all holes properly aligned and spaced. Just make sure your drill bit is long enough to go through the Drill Block and the cabinet or drawer.

It was simple to use and definitely very helpful but (maybe because I got the plastic version, idk) the marks were not leveled. I’m glad I measured 100x before actually drilling the holes because I would’ve been so disappointed. One mark was a few millimeters higher than the other and I’m so particular, I would’ve noticed. I used this to mark the general area then measured again with my ruler and lever to find the actual spot I needed to drill. I’ll keep it because it was useful and the price was right but I’ll just need to remember to account for lopsidedness when I go to use it again. I don’t know about durability. The ruler parts were metal and the wedges were plastic. The concept is great but the accuracy, not so much

I purchased this tool for hardware cabinets and it was very easy to use. You figure out the height of drawer and where each bolt goes on hardware and it gives u exact point to punch hole. It made it fun to use.

I bought this tool because it was shown and described as the more expensive aluminium version. What arrived was the cheaper and inferior plastic version.Returned.

The aluminum version is best. Easy to align and tighten lock screws. Very happy with the product.
