We are getting so much more work done with jacks. We are installing cabinets so much faster. The crew is finding other things to use them on and with. We used them to hold shower walls in place while the glue dries. Anywhere you need to hold something in place. They are easy to use and the crew wants us to buy another set, which we are doing. Thanks for the help.

Vine items are not free for Reviewers; more about that after the review.I needed an extra hand attaching my new upper kitchen cabinets in place and the "extra hand" had to be able to hold the heavy cabinets while they were being attached to the wall, which is tough and exhausting, and this Jack Support made an already difficult job far less stressful. I was able to hang all the upper kitchen cabinets with just myself and one other person with the help of this Jack support. The jack support seems well made, sturdy, is intuitive and easy to use and does the job it was intended to do. I can't comment as to its durability since I have only used it for that one day so far which is why I only gave it 4 stars, however it does feel like a solid piece of equipment that will last a long time.Vine Reviewers are required to pay taxes, both Federal and State, on all items requested for review, which for me is a minimum 30% Federal and 17.8 % State; furthermore, we are not allowed to deduct the sale prices customers receive, whether it’s 10%, 20% or 50% off, we must claim the full market value set by Amazon. Additionally, if an item we review quits working, has flaws, is the wrong size, is not to our liking or for whatever reason is unusable, not only are we not permitted to return the item like customers, we are still responsible for paying the taxes on that item. As for my reviews, I have no qualms whatsoever leaving an honest review regardless if it is favorable, critical or somewhere in between. In fact, Amazon specifically directs its Vine Reviewers to be honest in their assessment of a product because their customers rely on reviews when deciding whether to purchase an item. Not only am I a new Vine Reviewer for Amazon, I have been an Amazon customer since 2006 and know the value of an honest review.

These utilize a lot of plastic in their construction. The telescoping clamps, lever adjusters and the foot pads are primarily plastic. IMO, the footpads are the most lacking feature of the entire design. The foot pads are molded plastic with a synthetic (rather hard) rubber tread insert. The problem is at least half of the foot pads in the set I received were slightly curved (pictured). I don't believe this is intentional and I suspect is the result of improper cooling during the molding process. This convex curvature steals away most of the non-slip tread as the contact surface is minimized. If the curvature were Concave vs Convex, it might provide better non-slip traction as the footpad would be prone to flattening as pressure is applied. Another flaw in the foot pad design is the plastic ball swivel is angle limited to ~45 degrees. That is not an optical angle for support when the footing is not secured. It should be more like 60 degrees at the base and 30 degrees at the top angle. At 45 degrees, there is as much force pushing away from the vertical wall as there is in the downward direction. This combined with the convex shaped foot pads made these useless as angle supports as the footing had no grip. This set will do a decent job as a vertical support since the force on the footing is strait down so grip isn't a problem. The adjustment mechanism on these works very well. Well enough that these can do double duty as spreading devices. I think the plastic levers are the weak link in the last mentioned application. The total downward or spreading force will be limited by the telescoping clamp. Since there are no preset, pinned points on the telescoping sections, the primary length is established with the plastic clamp which feels like it can easily break if overtightened. In summary: This set will come in handy around the house for many DIY projects. If you're in construction and intend to use these daily... keep looking and spend the extra money. In regard to one of the recommended applications for drywall... these along with a couple small 2x4s will come in handy for a small drywall job. If you have a lot of drywall to hang on the ceiling, invest in a dedicated drywall jack.

These work just fine, for installing a upper cabinet. The 2 shorter ones I'm using to support a small table that folds down.
