These furniture jacks are reasonably well made and a very good value. They will be very useful in light to medium duty applications. While they are rated to a 550 lbs, they are best suited for lighter applications.I recently used one of these jacks to lift a corner of a rolling platform in order to access the caster wheel underneath. While I do not know the actual weight of the platform, I know that was less than 550 lbs (so lifting just one corner would be considerably less than the rated limit). The jack was barely able to lift the corner, and it would only lift it about 2 inches (no matter how much or how hard you squeezed after that, it would not move up any further). The jacks lift smoothly, but learning how to lower smoothly took a little trial an error. Simply pressing the thumb release resulted in the weight just slamming down. I found the best approach was to squeeze the trigger as though you were lifting, then while applying light pressure to the trigger, lightly feather the thumb release. At $59.99 for the pair, these are a good value, especially compared to name brand jacks that are roughly three times the price for each jack. I am sure they will come in very handy for many applications and would recommend them to a home owner/DIY'er, but I would not recommend them to someone with true heavy duty applications.

Bought these to use for Drywalling by myself. Best money I have spent in years. Easiest tool I've ever seen to hold drywall against the ceiling, no movement. Makes for "hands free" attaching to the studs. I'll be using the on cabinets too.

A replacement item, received in only a few days, worked as it should and my project was completed. I would definitely recommend this seller and the product I purchased. My original review read "One of the lift devices allows the load (240#) to return to the starting position following each lever lift. There's a stripped screw on a face plate which hints it was a return, repair was considered, and the item was reassembled and resold. The second lift works well!"

Provides a semi-stable lift for projects, will come in handy when bathroom remodel is underway and the door and frame gets moved. I guess it could work as a sort of clamp, but it's heavy and not as convenient as other clamps (so I would just leave off the little stopper at the top).It has a few barely visible spots on the forks, assuming it's the start of some rust. Should buff out easily with some WD-40. Still it's the principle of a new product being shiny new.

These are amazing tools to use when cabinet making or installing other items that need to be leveled off in small increments. They handle a nice weight capacity and you can dial in on the level very easily. Just place the jack under the cabinet, place the level on the top of the cabinet and squeeze until level. Once level, you can leave in place until properly secured, where you can then let down the jacks and move on to the next. I've enjoyed having these and I'm sure there are a lot of other uses for them as well.
