20+ year IT guy here with 100s of completed structured cabling contracts including data center build outs. Used a lot of CPI equipment over the years but this, by far, is one of the best patch panels I've ever ran across. I picked this up to terminate cable runs in a new house just purchased. The unit is all metal including metal cased RJs, the dust cover doors on the front of the jacks is really nice touch, the cable securing strain relief clamps are excellent and better than using zip ties. The punch town is very, very good - very easy access and not trying to sneak a punch tool into a weird angle. Overall build quality instills confidence. I honestly don't work for this company but I'm so impressed I had to write a review. A little on the pricey side but then again it is CAT6A rated (not just CAT6).

I have five of these in my rack and they are of high quality and exceptional value. Cable Matters is one of my favorite suppliers in the space. Installation is a breeze even for a first timer and all the mounting hardware you need is included. You do need your own tools and supplies for cutting cables. I highly recommend Cable Jacket Stripper (B000BY8BY2), Copper Foil Tape (B01I1XNY1E) and a good punch down tool like (B0000AZK4D).Installation: After stripping your cable, and taping the ground back around the jacket unscrew the bar which holds each pair of cables. Punch down the wire pairs using the included color guide. After each pair of cables screw the bar back down and use the provided zip ties to secure each cable to the panel. I recommend only zip tying cables after testing the cable. Securing the panel to your rack is simple, although I found cable installation was easier with the panel hanging out of the rack using zip ties.

The Cable Matters 24 port Cat6a arrived on time, well packaged and undamaged. Punching down the Ethernet cable is very easy with room to work. Construction of the patch panel is very robust and well thought out. Grounding for shielded Ethernet cables is good and, as expected, it has a grounding point. I especially like the jack shutters and the jack labeling strip. Use the Krone blade when punching down the Ethernet cable..

Time is money. That is my philosophy. This patch panel is well engineered and well built. It allowed me to terminate over 30 Cat 6 runs (I purchased 2 of these) in my crawl space quickly and efficiently. The cables are securely attached once you tighten the screws. The unused terminals in the front have little plastic covers on them that keep dust out. They work great!

Simple and effective patch panel. Need a Krone blade for correct punch down. Dust cover, zip ties and ground cable included.

Easy to punch down, not cramped like other patch panels. There's even attachment points to secure the cables individually. This can be easily accomplished using the included cable ties. Easy to ground (if appropriate for the specific installation), and comes with a grounding cable. I've bought two so far and will purchase dozens more.

Very well made punch block. Holds Cat6a easily and spaces it out enough to access and punch down withoit straining to see whats what. Probably the best punch block ive seen. Theres a wire restraint that secures the cables in place.

bought with 6A cable which is much thicker than 5e cable I bought. So, the problem is Jack. So far I have not able to make one working Patch cable. I had to buy 25 6a patch cables to connect to switch. It is much more professional looking but wish had more 6a product to buy from Amazon.
