Easy to install, basically twist. The clear connector allows you to see when your takes are done draining or when you're black tank sprayer has worked when you see clear water. Helps prevent the drips when you remove the cap or connector to connect or disconnect you're sewer hose.

Our Gray water and black water connect just before the connection to the sewer hose. Here is how I use this item. It connects just before the sewer hose and I leave it connected all season long. Then the sewer hose connects to it. Most sewer valves leak over time. When the cap is removed to install the sewer hose nasty fluids come spilling out...not with this device! The valve is kept closed until the cap is removed and the sewer line attached. If this valve becomes polluted and difficult to close completely, just remove it and rinse it out! Also, another neat trick is to dump the black water completely. Then close this valve and open the gray water dump valve. The gray water will back flow into the black water tank helping to flush out debris. Close the gray water dump valve and open this valve to dump the black water tank again. This can be repeated as necessary as long as you have water remaining in the gray water tank. A couple months ago we got the dreaded "poop pyramid" in our black water tank and it was not emptying correctly. Using this method the clog was quickly, easily, and without mess cleared from the black water tank. Finally, when using a spray device to rinse our your black water tank, this product gives you a clear window into what is draining out of your tank. This way you know when your black tank is flushed properly. We have used these devices for several decades with no issues. We have put one on each of the campers we have owned. It is a "must have" for us.

The main grey water valve is leaking so I just installed this at the outlet saving a ton of work and money. Nice tight fit, it's not going anywhere.

One grey water tank value is not working so this was the most convenient and inexpensive option. I don’t leave it on while travelling as it sticks out a few inches plus others commented on them coming loose and falling off while travelling. I put it in when I set up and remove it after I empty the tanks. It is very easy to take on and off.

This is a good product made with decent parts. The clear viewing tube lets you see what is happening inside the pipe, which helps you know how clean you have flushed your tanks, or if you need to do another rinse. It provides a third valve to catch any liquid that may leak past your grey or black valves. The small area in front of the valve only holds a small volume of liquid, so if this valve should leak the mess is small when you open the cover. The cover snaps on well and seems to be made of a tough nylon material, giving a solid feel to the locking hooks. On my rig the sewer outlet is in too far from the side of the trailer, so this brings the hose out to a easier location to deal with. Super item!

It doesn't matter what kind of R.V. you have. You can completely drain your waste water tanks all you want, and put the factory cap back on, but, there will always be waste water that trickles down the pipes as the hours or days go by. Now you remove your cap when comes time to empty again, and out comes a nice little burp of waste water all over your gloved hand. With this gate valve, the waste water is kept behind the gate valve, allowing you to take off the factory cap, twist on your sewer hose, and now open that gate valve, allowing that burp of waste water to empty into your sewer hose instead of all over your hand. This is a must have for all RV.'ers.
