Wife wanted to learn how to can and teach the kids while doing it.We had a nice large stock pot.Purchased this starter kit and we were canning the very first day it arrived!!Everything we needed was there but the jars. We purchased smaller jars and a divider so we could stack them in the pot.We thought the ladle was a bit small, but it came useful when working with smaller jars ;-)If you are starting to can food, or looking to learn, this starter kit will be a lot of help!
