Surprisingly good quality product made from strait grained ash, well sanded and varnished with accurate oar bushings and gunwale attachment hardware. I do wish the stern support piece was a bit longer since it doesn't span many canoes (as the saying goes easier to remove it than look for it)--but it won't take much to work around that problem.

I received this item with no instruction and no attachment to attach oars to use. I am unable to use it as is.
