The sturdy construction and good value of these dumbbells. The weights great and a perfect addition to my weight collection. The grip is feels good, with the knurling on the handles being just right to provide a good grip without being too rough. Satisfied with the workout value, comfort, and design. Some people say a strange smell, to me it's just normal new rubber weight or tire smell lol the black coating on handles love it. I picked up 20s-50s

These have a good satisfying feel to them. The knurling on the handle is just right to give a good grip without being overly rough, and they feel sturdy overall. The head shape is nice because you can set them down flat or stand them on end without them falling over or rolling around.As others have mentioned, they do have a rubbery smell to them. Smells exactly like new car tires. May in fact be the same rubber that tires are made of. I got one pair from Walmart and one pair from Amazon and they both smell the same, so if you want to preview the smell before buying, head over to Walmart's sporting goods section and give them a whiff. I kind of like new tire smell, so it doesn't bother me.My 15 pounders arrived in good condition. Individually boxed with a bit of padding.Another thing to note is that the handle is thicker on 15lbs and up. The 10 pounders are one inch, 15 pounders are 1.25 inch.

The quality is excellent and ideally suited for gym use; the size is approximately 10 inches vertically and 4 inches horizontally. It's very sturdy and functions perfectly. The value is good at one dollar per pound. I'm unsure what weight capacity means for a dumbbell, but if you can lift it, I recommend purchasing it. While workouts are inherently uncomfortable, the rubber sidded weight is quite comfortable. The metal may cause some discomfort, but that's to be expected. Overall, it's a great product for both experienced and beginner gym-goers.

Seems to be pretty good quality to me. To the smell yea it's got a smell, as to how much? It's not that strong but its there and will go away in time. Grip is great. These will last long time and tear up some muscles for a good while. :)-

Nice quality, grip feels good and secure. They do have a strong rubber, chemical smell that most reviews metioned. I left them outside for about 4 days and could still smell it. After about a month it finally went away. It seems a lot of brands have this issue so it might be hard to find one that doesn't smell for a few weeks.

The dumbbells are fine and quite good, but I decided to go with the amazing Northdeer 2.0 versions, which are far superior (and frankly quite attractive). Went to return these, but they came in two boxes, and UPS would only take one box for the shipping label (the underpaid UPS guy could have sold me a box to contain both, but it was busy and neither of us thought of this). So I have one dumbbell that I won't be using and it cost me a night out. Can't lose sleep over such a thing, but be aware that if you want to return them, they need to be in a single box.

I like the handles on these, the grip is pretty good and feels nice on the hands. They do have a strong smell at first and the first few times I used them they left a black residue on my hands, clothes and yoga mat. This residue did come off though.

Great feel and product but i cant tell if its the rubber material or if they have a very heavy cigarette smell coming from them.
