I bought a set up dumbbells from Costco a couple of years ago that went up to 30lbs. I have since been slowly adding to that & wanted them all to look the same. These look exactly the same & are high quality. Feels great on the hands & I don’t lose grip.

The quality of these dumbbells is good so far based on the price I paid for them compared to other brands and prices. I did notice a smell from the rubber covering the weights when they were first removed from the original cardboard and plastic bags used to ship them but that was easily taken care of by wiping them off with Windex and a soft cloth. These weights are not 40lbs as stated but rather 38.6 lbs each according to my scale. Other weights I have ordered or purchased locally were at least the advertised weight and if not they were usually .1 lbs to .3 lbs heavier, not 1.4 lbs less. Regardless, they will fulfill their purpose of helping to keep me in shape and appear to be of good quality so far. As for the diameter of the handles being too small according to other reviews, that does not seem to be the case in my opinion. I have rather large hands and wear gloves sized 2X to 3X in most brands. With that comparison the bar grip diameter seems to be appropriately sized for my hand size.

Good value for the money. The pair was shipped together and the packaging was excellent. The chemically smell dissipated quickly.

I looked at the reviews and was prepared to get dumbbells with a yellowish residue that didn't come off, but that was not the case at all! I may have just been one of the fortunate ones, but no one else is selling dumbbells for $1 a pound. Be prepared for a couple flaws if you're purchasing the lowest priced items.My only critique is that the handle on the 40 pounders is smaller than my existing 35 pounders, but it's $1 per pound, remember? When I'm ready to bump up to 45/50 pounders, I'll repurchase here and possibly get some yellow ones.
